The 2001 Northeast District Convention was held on March 22-24 in Syracuse, NY. The Eta Phi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi and the Eta Alpha chapter of Tau Beta Sigma of Syracuse University hosted the convention. Check out the Photo section for pictures. Gamma Xi's chapter delegate was President, Don Ayres. Bob May was the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Don Ayres was the Southern Precinct's delegate for the Committee on Expansion. Matt Silverman was the Southern Precinct's delegate for the Jurisdiction Committee. Gamma Xi was awarded: The top Five Chapter Award The Northeast District Council Certificate of Excellence. The William A. Scroggs Communication Certificate. A gift from NED Governor Deb Eakins, for hosting the first ever President's Conference at the University of Maryland. Receipients of the Personal Academic Achievement Award included: John Kim Adam Watson Gary Politzer Phillip Barnes Gamma Xi and the Beta Eta chapter of Tau Beta Sigma were awarded the Best Chapter Display Award. Our joint bid to publish the Northeast Notes was the chosen bid, as well. After the banquet Gamma Xi performed at the Step Show. Members of the step squad included: Chuck (Bryan Gregg), Scott Sanders, Bob May, Jason Cowperthwaite, Patrick Moehlen, Dion d'Aquino, and Matt Silverman.
